What is a NAG?
Five Neighbourhood Action Groups, otherwise known as NAGs, have been created in West Oxfordshire and sit alongside the Neighbourhood Police Teams. A NAG consists of local residents, police officers and police community support officers.
NAGs provide an opportunity for residents to influence the services provided by the Police and other public agencies in the District.
What do they do?
Each NAG deals with the three issues identified by residents as top priorities for tackling. These range from anti-social behaviour and speeding to parking and youth problems. By meeting every 4-6 weeks, the NAG aims to solve these issues by working with local authorities, businesses and schools.
If you are interested in joining your local NAG you are welcome to attend as an observer to see what is involved. Contact your local policing team through this website for further information.
In the meantime, why not read the newsletters produced by the NAGs to see what progress they have made so far.
